NT 2026 by the numbers: What three days in Portorož looked like
Three days of NT create a lot of conversations, ideas and new connections. They also create quite a lot of data.
So, once the stages went quiet and everyone headed home, we took a look at the numbers behind NT 2026.
The headline figures? 1,657 attendees from 20 countries, 139 speakers and 152 sessions.
But those are only the beginning.

Content remains at the heart of NT.
When we asked attendees what brought them to Portorož, 92% said the content. At the same time, NT is clearly about the community around it: 81% came to meet colleagues from other companies, 68.8% were looking for new solutions, and 62% came to build new business connections.
The numbers also show that this is a community with real influence inside its organizations.
95% of respondents consider NT a good investment.
66% have access to budgets for implementing new solutions.
52% influence IT investment decisions.
In other words: ideas discussed at NT have a pretty good chance of making it beyond the conference room.
You rated the sessions and speakers throughout the conference, and some names clearly stood out.
This year's best-rated speakers were:
Luka Manojlović, Paula Januszkiewicz, Gašper Kamenšek, Miha Pihler, Milan Gabor, Barbara Forbes, Boštjan Kežmah, Marko Kokol, David Kavčnik, Slavko Kukrika and Matej Klemenčič.
★★★★★
And which sessions scored highest with the NT audience?

A strong showing for cybersecurity and identity in particular, with plenty of AI, development and data in the mix.
Speaking of AI: 37 NT 2026 sessions had “AI” in their title.
So yes, artificial intelligence was hard to avoid this year.
And since every data recap needs at least one completely unofficial category, our award for the most dramatic session title goes to:
A Nightmare on Cloud Street.
Less like a tech session. More like a full-blown techno-thriller.
A lot was happening outside the sessions too.
During NT 2026, attendees completed 5,023 questionnaires and spent 337,180 NT Coins. The Geek Boutique and NT Luck sent 787 prizes home with their new owners.
Behind the scenes, 48 promoters and a 14-member IT crew helped keep three days of sessions, activities, people and technology moving.

Those numbers might not appear on the main stage, but without them, there would be no NT.
1,657 attendees.
139 speakers.
152 sessions.
20 countries.
And thousands of smaller interactions that are much harder to count.
A question after a session, a conversation over coffee, a new solution discovered at the Expo Area. A contact that becomes a collaboration. An idea that makes it back to the office.
That's the part of NT statistics can't quite capture.
Thank you for being part of NT 2026.

See you next year!
