NT Business 2026: Three tracks and one new business reality.
Technology is no longer simply changing the way we work. It is changing how organizations compete, how value is created and what leadership looks like in practice.
On Monday, 21 September, NT Business brings business leaders, decision-makers and technology experts together in Portorož for a full day dedicated to the forces reshaping business today.
AI, leadership, talent, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty and resilience are no longer separate conversations. They are increasingly connected. And this year’s NT Business program reflects exactly that.
Three tracks. Different perspectives. One new business reality.
Most organizations are already experimenting with AI. The real question is what happens next.
How do companies move beyond individual tools and pilots and turn AI into measurable business value? What separates experimentation from actual transformation? And what needs to change in leadership, processes and business models for AI to become a competitive advantage?
The first part of NT Business will explore these questions from several perspectives.

Andreas Ekström, Swedish journalist and digital futurist, will open the conversation with Organic Intelligence: Mankind’s Space and Place in the AI Revolution, exploring humanity’s role as AI transforms organizations and society.

Charles Calestroupat, President of Microsoft Europe South, will look at what it takes to move from AI experimentation to transformation in The AI Advantage: Leading What’s Next.

The program will also examine technology and decision-making with Peter Pavkovič from ACTUAL I.T., Slovenia’s position in AI adoption and digital transformation with Dr Peter Wostner from IMAD, and the changing IT labor market, roles and skills in a dedicated panel.

Because access to AI is becoming easier. Knowing how to turn it into value is the harder part.
As AI becomes capable of increasingly complex cognitive work, the greatest challenge is no longer only technological. It is organizational and human.
What happens to leadership when AI becomes an everyday collaborator? Which skills become more valuable when intelligence itself is no longer scarce? How do organizations build cultures that can adapt, learn and make good decisions in a rapidly changing environment?
The second NT Business track puts people at the center of the conversation.

Through sessions and discussions on AI investments, leadership, talent, learning and decision-making, Human Advantage will explore what organizations need beyond technology to make transformation actually work.
Because the future may not belong to the companies with the best technology. It may belong to those that know how to grow people, build trust and lead change.
Technology is also changing the meaning of trust.
As AI, cloud services and digital infrastructure become increasingly important to business and society, questions of cybersecurity, data control, resilience and digital sovereignty are moving from IT departments into boardrooms.
The final NT Business track looks at these challenges from a European and regional perspective.

A panel on digital sovereignty will examine whether Europe is ready for the AI era and what should remain under European or national control. Jan Bervar from Conscia will explore how AI could enable smaller European teams to build cybersecurity capabilities once reserved for global technology giants.

And in AI Across the Adriatic: What Can We Learn from Each Other?, business and technology leaders from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will compare how AI is being adopted across the region and what we can learn from each other.
From competitive advantage and the future of work to digital sovereignty and trust, NT Business 2026 brings together questions that can no longer be addressed separately.
But the bigger story is how it is changing business, leadership and organizations.
